Pen Manufacturing’s Anaheim location runs CNC machinery including a Hurco VMX50 vertical mill with 4th axis capability and a 50 by 26 by 24 inch work envelope, alongside a Hurco VMX42 vertical mill. The manual machine shop adds lathes up to 15 by 120 inches, four knee mills, an automatic cut-off band saw, and a 90 ton ironworker for heavier structural work. Certified welders handle MIG, TIG, and structural welding to AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D1.6 standards, and finishing options include powder coating, anodizing, e-coating, galvanizing, heat treating, and military coatings. Alongside machining, Pen Manufacturing fabricates sheet metal parts using laser cutting, waterjet cutting, stamping, hydroforming, and press brake bending. These processes produce enclosures, brackets, panels, and structural components formed from flat metal stock rather than machined from solid bar.
